AI Security Assessment | Independent Visibility & Assurance

Do You Know What Humans, Machines, and AI Are Doing in Your Network?

Discover the activity. Understand the risk. Validate the controls. Be ready when it matters.

First Team Cyber combines its existing passive network sensor with expert analysis and available enterprise security data to uncover activity, assess exposure, validate security investments, and evaluate incident readiness.

Independent assessment • Authorized scope • Passive observation • Executive-ready findings

Three Areas of Visibility

Understand the actors operating across your environment

Security risk is not limited to employee accounts. People, systems, automated workflows and AI services interact with sensitive information every day. Our assessment examines the activity that can be observed and validates the protections around it.

HUMANS

Who is doing what?

Examine employee, contractor, administrator and third-party access to applications and sensitive data.

  • User and privileged activity
  • Application and data access patterns
  • Potential policy violations and insider risk

Enterprise data center

MACHINES

What systems are communicating?

Identify observable communications involving endpoints, servers, services and automated processes.

  • Machine-to-machine connections
  • Automated workflows and integrations
  • Unexpected devices or destinations

AI

What is AI accessing and executing?

Discover visible AI services and investigate potentially risky data access and agent interactions.

  • Approved and Shadow AI usage
  • AI service communications and data exposure indicators
  • Agent permissions and actions where telemetry permits

Integrated Incident Readiness

Can you detect, contain and recover when something goes wrong?

Finding risky activity is only the beginning. FTC assesses whether your organization can recognize, investigate and respond to AI-related incidents across human, machine and AI workflows.

01 Detect

Evaluate alerts, logging and visibility for suspicious activity and potential data exposure.

02 Contain

Review how accounts, devices, integrations and AI agents can be isolated or disabled.

03 Investigate

Assess evidence availability, event correlation, escalation and incident ownership.

04 Recover

Evaluate safe restoration, control validation and criteria for restarting AI operations.

Outcome: A practical incident readiness gap assessment and prioritized recommendations. Hands-on testing or tabletop exercises can be included when authorized and scoped.

Our Approach

Independent network visibility, backed by evidence

Our existing passive network sensor can be deployed for up to 14 days to observe traffic crossing agreed monitoring points. We correlate its findings with available identity, endpoint, cloud, security and AI application records to assess visibility, control coverage and risk.

We identify what was observed, what was independently validated and what remains outside the assessment’s visibility.

Already using Microsoft GSA or other security tools?

That’s an advantage. FTC does not seek to replace your existing investments. We independently compare observed activity with the telemetry and controls available from your current security stack, which may include Microsoft Global Secure Access, Defender, Purview, Sentinel, CrowdStrike and other platforms.

The goal: validate what your tools see, understand their intended coverage, investigate meaningful differences, and strengthen the value of what you already own.

Passive network observation cannot by itself reveal every encrypted payload, off-network activity, user intent or internal AI agent decision. Findings are qualified by source coverage and available evidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we hear from security leaders

Security tools provide important capabilities. FTC independently evaluates observed activity against the configured scope and available records of those tools, helping verify coverage and identify gaps that warrant investigation.

Our passive network sensor does not require endpoint agents. Depending on the agreed assessment scope, additional existing logs or application data may be requested.

No assessment can guarantee complete visibility. Encrypted traffic, off-network use, embedded AI functionality and internal agent behavior may require additional evidence. We explicitly document these limitations.

The standard assessment evaluates incident readiness; it is not a 24/7 incident response retainer or managed detection service. Tabletop exercises, validation testing or response support can be separately scoped.

An analyst-reviewed assessment, supporting evidence, prioritized risks, tool coverage observations, incident readiness findings and a practical remediation roadmap.
